Primary Care – Your Local General Practice
Over the next 5 years, the NHS will make changes and improvements to help people get to the right place for their diagnosis and treatment.
Here in Lincolnshire this will include training our staff based in GP surgeries and local clinics to offer more varied services, supporting people to access staff who can best support them with their needs and helping staff to work together to give patients a better experience and outcome.
We will help the people of Lincolnshire make more informed health and care choices and improve access to support by providing more online telephone and computer-based services. Our primary care programme will build these services around the needs of our local communities.
Primary Care At Scale - All general practices and community health and care services joining forces to provide a better service.
Primary Care Workforce - Recruiting more GPs, training and increasing the number of other practice clinical staff and working closely with voluntary groups.
Workload and service design - Making sure that the workload for doctors and their staff is manageable, helping the people who look after you in the community to do their job well including making sure that our services meet patients’ clinical needs
